Beaded Necklace at Painted Threads

I saw a wonderful example of a beautiful necklace an artist made with beads that were just lying around her crafting table.

This is why I love bead stringing so much.

It doesn’t require much specialized jewelry making knowledge, yet you can create very beautiful pieces by just being creative with what you already have on hand.

Take a look at this piece she created and you will see what I mean: Beaded Necklace at Painted Threads

She used some deep red colored beads in her work that are absolutely gorgeous!

Stringing beads on a Cameo Frame

One of the easiest bead stringing projects is to make a necklace with a beautiful cameo as the center piece.

The cameo by itself is very beautiful, but what if you could decorate it even more to create a truly unique look?

Take a look at this video clip where swarovski crystal beads are strung to the cameo frame to create an even more unique look.

You can use this technique to add extra decoration to anything that you want to put your own unique spin on.

Jewelry Making and Beading Videos

There are many bead stringing, bead weaving, and general jewelry making videos available on the internet that you can watch right on your computer.

The best place to find those videos is on YouTube.

All you need to do is enter a search term like bead stringing, for example, and literally thousands of videos will show up.

The quality of the videos varies, but if you are patient you can find some very good ones.

Below is an example of one that shows how to make a four leaf clover beaded ring.

To see more videos from this artist you can visit her YouTube channel at this link: Beading Videos from Jewelry Making Professor

The video is in three parts so you can watch one after another.

Free Bead Stringing Earrings Project

I just found a fairly easy bead stringing earrings project over at about.com

The tutorial shows you how to make a pair of  Fringe Earrings.

It’s a beginners level project, but I think the earrings look really nice and I can see that you can use your own creativity to make slight variations to the design.

The design uses a lot of seed beads and you will learns some very basic seed beading techniques like the ladder stitch, the brick stitch, and fringe.  All combined in just one tutorial!

You can check out the tutorial here: Fringe Earrings Tutorial
